A profoundly irresponsible person and lifelong screw-up, Bennett spent his teenage years skipping class and feuding with disagreeable teachers only to graduate high school by the skin of his teeth/total miracle. He moved on to Sarah Lawrence College where his faults finally caught up with him, and after four years of college he found himself without a diploma, which is why he decided to write instead of getting a real job.
Bennett is the author of the Lulu Dark Mysteries (Penguin/Razorbill) and the upcoming The Blonde of the Joke (HarperCollins 2009.) He has also written a bunch of other stuff and is hard at work on his fourth novel. He lives in New York City with his boyfriend, an imaginary baby named Whatevia who is being raised bilingual, and no pets.
(Yes those are frosted tips.)
